Kesha Officiates a Same-Sex Wedding in Her “I Need a Woman to Love Me” Music Video
Third time’s a charm. Kesha, who’s already officiated two same-sex weddings, decided to reprise her unofficial side hustle for a third try as a wedding officiant in her latest music video released Monday, April 9.

The singer, in collaboration with MGM Resorts’ LGBTQ-celebratory album, Universal Love, made the sweet gesture as part of the music video for her new song, “I Need a Woman to Love Me.” The tune itself was written especially for the Universal Love album, which also features Bob Dylan’s classic “She’s Funny That Way” (changed to “He’s Funny That Way”) among other songs.
Kesha’s brother, Lagan Sebert, directed and executive produced the video. The clip itself takes Kesha through the desert to the Bellagio in Las Vegas for an actual wedding between a real-life couple. There’s much significance to the wedding date, March 26, which marks the anniversary of when the first same-sex marriage license was issued in the U.S. in 1975.
